Accessing the Find Payments page

To access the Find Payments page complete the following 2 steps:

Step 1: Select the Payments (Summary Record) you wish to work with, on the Make Payments - Workspace page.

Step 2: Click the Find Payments button and the Make Payments - Find Payments page will be displayed.

Performing a Search

The process to perform a search has 3 steps:

Step 1: Select the field you wish to search from the With dropdown. Note: If you want to display all payments, select Find All Payments from the dropdown.

Step 2: Enter the value you wish search for in the Of textbox.

Note: You don't have to worry about upper and lower case when entering a search value, as the search is not case sensitive.

Tip: If you don't know exactly how something was entered in a payment (e.g. John Smith could be entered as Jon Smith), you can search for partial matches by Using Wildcards in your search.

Step 3: Click the Search button to initiate the search.

Result: Once the Search button is clicked, the system will search for Payments and display the results in the table at the bottom of the screen.

Tip: You can resort the results by Name, Reference, Account Number or Amount by simply clicking on the corresponding column heading.

Note: If you need to return to the Make Payments - Workspace page, click the Back button located on the bottom right of the page.

Using Wildcards

The search allows you to search for partial matches by using the asterisk wildcard in your search.

The following are examples of how to use the search function. All examples assume that the Name field was selected from the With dropdown.
